Zest

This is where I work in Sunniside with my massage therapist colleagues and our receptionist Claire.  It’s a lovely calm space where we can really explore what’s happening in your body and see how to help you better.

You

You’re the focus of all my osteopathic attention.  I look at your exercise, nutrition, rest, work, posture, activities, injuries and your ongoing health.  We work together to help you move better and feel better.

X-Rays

They’re really useful for seeing bone fractures and the general health of the bone.  They show any un-natural spinal curves such as a scoliosis.  We can also see if the space inside a joint has narrowed or eroded which is a sign of osteo-arthritis.  What X-Rays don’t show is the condition of softer tissues like ligaments, tendons and muscles.  You need an MRI or ultrasound for that.  Stick around for the letter U to find out more!

What?

What’s the difference between Osteopathy, Chiropractic and Physiotherapy? It’s the question I get asked more than any other. Press on ‘Blog’ above to find the answer. There’s lots of other stuff to read there too.

Vitamin D

Even a mild lack can cause general tiredness, vague aches and pains and a general sense of not being well. Take a look at my ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ blogpost to find out more. Just press on ‘Blog’ above.

UTI

Urinary Tract Infections can mimic low back pain. It’s one of the things I look for when doing my detective work as the Osteo Detective. Sherlock is my middle name!
